everything pictured thus far, has been shot in or in the immediate vicinity of home or work--find something common and normally overlooked but in a creative way is the goal. those are tin canisters holding 16mm film that are held for archival purposes. there is another location on campus that stores the more important footage, these are films from departments like biomed, psychology and anthropology which they still occasionally need, but isn't footage from, say, the first graduating class of the university.
i've had my other cameras (two of them) that use the pictured glass (first post on blog) since 1999. they will stay for now. i've had the idea of a daily photo for a very long time, but the idea was not practicable until the digital camera came along.
with time, i might figure out who you are, but as of now, you remain, anonymous.
so is this another new digicam? or the current existing one we had b4?

oooooh, yes, although i wish you'd let me go on trying to guess instead of giving away the answer. so now i have doubled my readership from 2 to 4 :) yesterday was busy day at work--the few shots taken were not strong compositionally or artistically. not to worry, it will be made up in good order.
it is not the canon, it's a digicam i bought a couple of weeks ago. olympus e10 if you care to look it up (and no i'm not an olympus fanboy, really!)

why dont you post a pic of your new digicam... u know kinda in the side notes or something "heres the instrument i'm using... blah blah <----- techie stuf goes here].
