safe harbor/tied back

well... that is kind of the point of safe harbour: one is not able to drift, list, roll, sink, or soar. and don't get me wrong; i am a great proponent of unrelieved boredom, which is another way of saying perfect safety. but even i have to acknowledge that the harbour is not a base for exploration; everything within the wide curve of its sweet shelter was mapped out long ago.

to explore is to exceed the confines of what is known, what is safe, to venture beyond the margins and lines. to actually go search for what you want--whether you know it at the time or not--instead of sitting idly and daydreaming or hoping.

there are risks, but so does exist the possibility of a payoff. whether worth it or not, is a gamble you decide on individually.

me, i might not gamble with money, but i sure do it with time.
