eternity - memory of lightwaves

letter read

"Time passes by;

I hear nothing at all."

--Rachel Yamagata

catalyst

"LA lights
Never shine quite as bright as in the movies
Still wanna go?
Cause something here
In the way
In the way that we're constantly moving
Reminds you of home" --Anna Nalick

Wrigley Building, Chicago.
Long way from 'home.'

opium

"Why / I wonder why you sigh
there's no reason for you to cry
don't / don't believe your own lies
there's no reason
there's no reason for you to sigh
music / music is opium for free
try a little try to consume me
music is Prozac for free
don't get stuck in greed
don't" --Hooverphonic

last night/live for tomorrow

downhill

(tangible, hand written) letters are a lost art. so are cards.

e-this e-that these e-days.

one of these days.

I'll write one.

landing

raining again

being met with cold water on taking the back exit isn't such a bad thing. that's just me. bring on the rain.

one of these mornings

sunday

i think i'm on a moby roll...

inside

another moody shot from an abandoned building, taken though grates on windows, with another moody moby song title.

great lake

on seeing this (and it just so happened to be in chinatown) immediately thought of a repeated motif from 'in the mood for love,' (one of my favourites) also used by wong kar-wai in his other movies. took the photo.

here i was ripping a criterion copy of ITMFL borrowed from my best friend, going through moby's discography, came across an entire brilliant album, 'the end of everything,' and the picture, movie, songs and post title. they all came together.
