if the title and photo don't make sense, they're my interpretations, and mainly speak to me on various abstract levels. maybe you'll find something.

"Yesterday I got lost in the circus, feeling like such a mess. And now I'm down, I'm just hanging on the corner. I can't help but reminisce." --Amos Lee self portrait listening to the same song
hehehe. this was today. is tht why u stayed afterwards. does this mean we were the circus or something. lol! =D. whts with the feling like such a mess etc...i, for one, thought it was quite fun. hehehehe. =D -ns
Shot in color, converted to grayscale in iPhoto, more fitting for the (current) mood.
Too hazy/smoggy in the lake basin from photochemical smog (VOCs released by the pines and controlled burns taking place); hoped to have a blazing wispy clouds at sunset which were present two days earlier climbing in.
Not in a touristy area (and certainly the ski season hadn't begun either, and on the California side no casinos either). Plus any dog walkers/joggers/families disperse as it gets chillier near sunset.
Finally, framing and perspective can give a certain look or feel. Thanks for looking. Maybe I'll post a few variations on this shot.

Shot in b/w? Either way, looks great. Such desolate surroundings, though it's supposed to be just the opposite.
